Happy Monday morning!
I hope everyone had a fantastic Easter weekend. The Sorensen family sure did. We had attended church in our Sunday best, and continued the day with family, good food, fun Easter egg hunt, and spent the night coloring eggs with the kiddos and their cousins. I don’t want to toot my own horn, but we did a pretty great job containing the kid’s colorful mess. In other news, here is my most recent pregnancy problems update! I crave biscoff…ALL THE TIME. Judge me all you want, but I even eat it with a spoon. You can’t stop the hungry baby—it gets whatever it wants. End of story.
This week’s blogging begins with the lovely Wood family. I booked the Wood family on New Years Eve. It was the only day that worked for both of our schedules. The Wood family was SO excited I was able to squeeze them in the holidays because this was the first time all of her family was together. We had a sunrise shoot, which is always tough to wake up for, but I was pumped and ready for the morning adventure. My sister Lacey, however, was NOT. She was my assistant for the day and also visiting for the holidays. She agreed a week or so in advance to help out, but I somehow forgot to mention the time of the shoot. Or did I leave it out on purpose? No one will ever know. Mu-ha-ha-ha! (<– evil laugh). Need some proof? Watch the video at the end to see Lacey’s oh-so-pleasant morning demeanor.
The early morning shoot was not a problem for Wood family (or at least they were good fakers). The kids were full of silly banter and cracking jokes left and right. It made my job easier since they were already smiling. For this session, we shot in the classic Arizona mountain desert landscape with the beautiful early morning sun. And, I don’t know about you, but I think there is nothing quite better than some sunny rays peaking over the mountains. And the cheerful Wood family made it all the better.

Have a great week friends!
