Weddings: one of the most beautiful and stressful events in a person’s life.
My bride last week Emily certainly felt this stress as she stepped out of the car in front of her venue and tearfully looked at the ominous clouds approaching her outdoor wedding ceremony. The wind was kicking up and the dust swirled around—conditions did not look ideal. However, as a professional I know how to handle unideal circumstances. I tried to calm down the upset bride. I informed her that clouds looked absolutely beautiful in photographs and that we would just have to rearrange our schedule and everything would work out. Rain is not the vision my sweet brides have for their wedding days but weather like this often creates an environment that ensures moody, and unique lighting packed with picture perfect photos and usually ends with an amazing sunset! I am so lucky that this Emily and her groom Tyler (and their families) were SO TRUSTING of me. They followed my advice and I was able to get some KILLER shots of them. The once tearful bride, cheered up when the rain magically paused during her outdoor ceremony for the perfect fairy tale ending. The day could not have ran any smoother.
Something I love about Emily and Tyler is how willing they were to readjust their schedule to ensure we got the best photos on their wedding day no matter the rainy conditions. I am so grateful they trusted me and with their trust I was able to successfully capture their special day. Also, might I add that Emily and Tyler were just about the most affectionate and adorable couple, and they were a breeze to photograph. Really though, I could have photographed them all day!!! Thank you for letting me be apart of your big day and congrats again!
Now, check out their beautiful, rainy wedding day.
