I had to opportunity to travel to Washington D.C. recently for the first time and it was just amazing. I went with my dad to pick up my sister while she was doing an internship at the Kennedy center. It was such a dream vacation! Not only did I not have my kids or husband (love them but a trip by myself is kind of amazing) but I also got about 5 days to soak in all the attractions. The museums, monuments, and history was beautiful and a photographers dream. They cherry blossoms were in bloom and the weather was PERFECT. I could have easily stayed a few more days. While I was there I managed to squeeze in a shoot that was just to die for. This lovely lady has been a family friend for a long time and I am so glad I had some time to take a few “graduating college” photos for her! She is such a gorgeous gal and the nicest person you will ever meet! Not to mention the scenery here is just heaven for an Arizona girl. So green, full of color and vegetation! It was raining during this shoot and it still did not put a damper on anything. Everything was just perfect.
