Happy Hump Day!
How is it Wednesday already? Man, the week goes by so fast!
Today’s blog features the lovely Ferneau family. For this shoot, we were aiming for a lovely warm, backlit sunny day (which isn’t very hard while in Arizona). Unfortunately, the day ended up being very overcast, cold, and drab, which isn’t cohesive with our aesthetic vision. But luckily, I can work in nearly any weather condition!
The Ferneau family has two young children that are at ages that can be difficult to photograph. They have a toddler boy, who was only interested in adventuring in the great outdoors. And they had a cute young baby girl, who needed to be bundled from the cold and needed to take a feeding break. In my experience with family shoots with wiggle-worm kids, I tend to see the mom and dad get overwhelmed and stressed. However, Mom Ferneau had an upbeat positive attitude, while Dad Ferneau was cracking jokes the while time! In the end, we got incredible lighting from the clouds and stunning sunset photos. So, you could call this a definite win.
